Powder Chemistries

Epoxy / Polyester Hybrid Systems are designed for both functional and decorative coatings such as automotive accessories, power tools, display racks and sporting goods. The coatings in this series will chalk in direct sunlight so they are a good choice for interior applications or in areas out of direct sunlight. Hybrid chemistry coatings feature outstanding flexibility as well as ease in application due to their good overbake and electrostatic spray characteristics.

Epoxy Systems are designed for interior applications such as display racks, metal shelving, office furniture and electrical apparatus. The coatings in this series will chalk in direct sunlight, but they do offer excellent chemical resistance and have superior mechanical properties. These coatings are particularly useful when maximum chemical and solvent resistance is a priority.

Urethane Systems yield a smooth finish with high flow. This series should be selected for any thin film applications and due to their color and gloss retention they perform well on both interior and exterior applications. Architectural products, playground equipment, outdoor furniture, office furniture, and lighting fixtures represent typical uses.

Polyester (TGIC) Systems provide great versatility, for both interior and exterior applications. Due to their excellent color and gloss stability they can be used for both decorative and functional items such as aluminum extrusions, farm and garden machinery and tools, playground items and sporting equipment. TGIC Polyester films provide excellent mechanical properties as well as very good chemical and overbake resistance. TGIC system gives a very good film appearance even when used in thick film applications.

Antimicrobial-protected powder coatings are used to provide supplemental protection against the growth of microorganisms in a wide range of applications. Bacteria, viruses, fungi or algae, when present, can produce unwanted odors, discoloration, befouling or mildew and, in certain cases, lead to degradation or corrosion of the base material. Anti-microbial powder coatings provide non-migratory, long-term antimicrobial efficacy, even on abraded surfaces. These coatings are developed in a proprietary manufacturing process by slowly releasing silver ions by way of an ion exchange mechanism. Silver is known to be a safe material for human contact and highly effective against a broad spectrum of micro-organisms. Antimicrobial coatings possess high temperature stability and excellent color retention. They are also durable and capable of providing maximum protection over an extended period of time. Antimicrobial-protected powder coating is available in all resin chemistries. The product is fully reclaimable and displays superior exterior durability in addition to its resistance to microorganisms. Typical applications for antimicrobial coatings include: Food processing equipment Medical equipment Fitness equipment Pharmaceutical labs Hospital furniture Hand rails Storage containers and tanks Utensils, kitchen equipment Restroom accessories Appliances Shower enclosures Water coolers and ice-making equipment s   Antimicrobial Powder Coatings Antimicrobial-protected powder coatings are used to provide supplemental protection against the growth of microorganisms in a wide range of applications.
